Workforce Development

We develop a skilled workforce that provides the competitive advantage needed by existing and new businesses in Northwest Louisiana.

The skill levels needed in industry no longer are increasing gradually but are expanding at a dramatic rate. Northwest LTCC recognizes the critical training and educational needs of business today and we will work to accommodate your educational and training needs whether it is on site at your location, a customized training program, or a contracted program on campus. Our Workforce Division provides companies continuing education opportunities for their staff.  The community also has the opportunity to take advantage of our offerings to further their skills.

Customized Solutions

When Clement Industries came to Northwest LTCC, we sat down with their Human Resources professionals to identify the skill sets required as they sought to expand operations in Minden. To ensure a qualified workforce, we also worked with Louisiana Economic Development’s FastStart program to provide the customized welding training necessary to potential workers for this industry sector.

We can come to your business to deliver training, or have your employees come to our hands on labs and well-equipped classrooms, whichever works better for your situation. We can deliver training face-to-face, or online, or in a hybrid approach.

Northwest LTCC is an integral partner for local and regional companies. We provide customized training solutions for businesses that have identified a training need. Sitting down with the stakeholders, we will identify and deliver the right classes and hands on training to your current workforce. We also focus on the future workforce, re-skilling displaced workers, and providing them the skill-set that will make them more competitive in the marketplace.
