Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College proudly announces that Chancellor Jayda Spillers has been named among the 2026 Virginia K. Shehee Most Influential Woman honorees. Each year, this recognition celebrates a select group of women whose leadership, service, and influence have made a lasting impact on the Greater Shreveport community.
In her three years as Chancellor of NLTCC, Dr. Spillers has demonstrated visionary leadership through her commitment to expanding access to high-quality technical education and workforce training in the Northwest community. Under her guidance, NLTCC has strengthened community partnerships, expanded programs that align with industry needs, and supported student success across the college’s three campuses.
“I am deeply honored to be named an honoree for this year’s Most Influential Woman, alongside such amazing women in our community,” said Dr. Spillers. “My greatest passion is supporting people as they work to better themselves and build brighter futures for their families. Being able to help open doors and create meaningful opportunities in our community is incredibly important to me.”
