Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) will host its 4th Annual SparkForce Manufacturing Camp this summer at the college’s Minden Campus. The camp will take place July 13th through July 16th from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day.
Open to students ages 12 to 14, the camp gives participants the opportunity to explore the world of advanced manufacturing through hands-on activities and interactive projects. The cost is $60 per student and includes lunch and a camp T-shirt.
Throughout the week, campers will work directly with NLTCC instructors while learning about modern manufacturing technology and technical career pathways. Students will create projects using 3D printers, build and assemble interactive electrical kits, and participate in CNC machine activities to see advanced manufacturing equipment in action.
Hosted in partnership with Sparkforce, the camp is designed to introduce students to high demand skilled trades in an engaging and age-appropriate environment. Campers will also gain experience using the same industry level equipment and labs utilized by NLTCC students enrolled in manufacturing programs.
Space is limited and registration is now open!
