Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) is celebrating the success of the first cohort of students to complete the Basic Construction class offered in partnership with TIC, The Industrial Company.

The training program provided students with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience while preparing them for careers in the construction industry. Throughout the course, students received instruction in basic construction skills and tools, NCCER Core curriculum, personal finance, safety fundamentals, workplace readiness, and teamwork. As a result of their hard work and dedication, every student successfully earned industry-based certifications.

The class was taught by Workforce Instructor Richard Mitchell, who praised the students for their dedication and performance throughout the training. “This class was outstanding,” said Mitchell. “All of the students had an amazing outcome and did well on their projects.”
