Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) will officially celebrate the opening of its new Nursing Instruction Wing at the Mansfield Campus with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, July 31st, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Located at 943 Oxford Rd. in Mansfield, the new facility represents a major investment in healthcare education and workforce development for DeSoto Parish and the surrounding region. The expansion was designed to provide nursing students with additional classroom and lab space dedicated to hands-on clinical instruction and training.
“We are excited to officially open this new space and continue expanding opportunities for students interested in healthcare careers,” said Dr. Jayda Spillers, Chancellor of NLTCC. “We are especially grateful to Rep. Larry Bagley for his support and leadership throughout this process. This project shows what can happen when legislators, healthcare leaders, and community partners work together to expand nursing education and help meet the growing need for healthcare professionals across northwest Louisiana.”
NLTCC previously broke ground on the project in February 2025, with construction progressing steadily over the past year. The completed facility will feature modern instructional spaces and equipment designed to support real-world nursing education and simulation experiences.
Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony. Guests are asked to RSVP to [email protected] or by calling 318.708.0355.
