NLTCC Welcomes New Students During Fall Orientation Events

Orientation

Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College welcomed incoming students during New Student Orientation events held across its three campuses ahead of the Fall 2026 semester.

Orientation was held at the Minden Campus on July 28th, the Mansfield Campus on July 29th, and the Shreveport Campus on July 30th. Students toured their campuses and met instructors, advisors, staff, and fellow students. They also participated in informational sessions covering their classes, financial aid, student services, college technology, and the resources available to support them throughout the semester.

The events were designed to help students become familiar with their campuses, know where to go for assistance, and feel more confident before classes begin.

“New Student Orientation helps students begin the semester with the information, resources, and connections they need to feel prepared,” said Dr. Alyson McCoy, Vice Chancellor of Academics and Institutional Effectiveness. “We were excited to welcome our newest students to campus and help them take this important first step in their college experience.”
