Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College would like to congratulate instructors Joe Green and James Sandidge on recently completing professional development through the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) Train-the-Trainer program. The training will expand the industry-recognized certification opportunities available to NLTCC students.

Green, an Electrician instructor, and Sandidge, an Industrial Maintenance Technology instructor, completed training for several Greenlee/NC3 certifications focused on electrical skills and equipment. The certifications include Basic Conduit Bending, Advanced Conduit Bending, Wire Pathways, Electrical Wire Terminations, and Fishing Conduits/Raceways and Cable Pulling.

The Greenlee and NC3 partnership provides hands-on training designed to strengthen skills used in electrical and industrial careers. The certifications give students opportunities to develop proper techniques, gain experience with industry equipment, and demonstrate job-relevant skills.

“Continued professional development for our instructors is an important part of providing our students with strong, relevant technical training,” said Heath Holley, NLTCC Dean of Manufacturing Technology. “When our instructors have opportunities to expand their knowledge and bring new industry certifications into the classroom, our students are better prepared with the skills employers are looking for.”
